About us

Rob Scott initiated the birth of RS Autosport towards the end of 1998 and has been servicing Porsche vehicles ever since. He has over 27 years’ experience in servicing and rebuilding Porsches. Initially the business was in Wynberg and then moved to Bryanston. During 2017 the business relocated to our current workshop that is over 1 800 square meters.

Rob overseas all aspects of car services, engine rebuilds, restoration projects, any form of modifications and is known in the South African Porsche circle as the go-to guy regarding anything Porsche.

Anton Roux bought the workshop in 2015 after retiring from 35 years in the corporate sector. Whilst running and managing RS Autosport on a daily basis, he also is the Chairman of Motorsport South Africa NPC as well as the Non-Executive board of various companies. Anton’s lifelong passion for cars and restoring them together with his corporate background has enabled RS Autosport to grow momentously over the years. We have 7 qualified Porsche Mechanics, each with their own specific skills. We have built a team of technicians and support staff that complement one another. Some are better engine builders, some better restorers, some do fabrication and others specialize in electronics. We also have some technicians that are more focused on modern cars. Thus, making our team a dynamic and versatile one.

In 2015 we moved to our current premises where we are blessed with phenomenal facilities, a tenant base including an exclusive car dealership, a new & used car dealership, an AMG Specialist workshop, a car air-conditioning specialist, a mobile detailing centre, a vehicle storage facility and an awesome view overlooking St Stithians College and Sandton. Our aim was to get a tenant mix, on one premises, that would complement each another.
