The winter chill is here — but your Porsche doesn’t have to feel it.
As temperatures drop, we’re here to help you stay ahead of the season with tips to keep your car running at its best. From battery checks to engine rebuilds, and even a reminder to look out for sneaky winter stowaways (yes, we’re talking rodents), we’ve got you covered.
Plus, this Mandela Day, we’re teaming up with Deploy Brand Management and Prestige Marques to support the SPCA — and we’d love your help in giving back.
Don’t Let Your Porsche Play Dead This Winter

Cold weather and weak batteries don’t mix. As temperatures drop, so does your battery’s cranking power — which is why winter is the season for sudden no-start surprises.
What many people don’t realise is that batteries often give little to no warning before they fail. Even if your Porsche starts just fine today, internal wear could mean trouble tomorrow — especially if it’s been sitting unused.
A quick voltage check can reveal a lot: 12.6V or higher means you’re in the clear. We use a CTEK Battery Analyser to test your battery’s health, and if it needs help, we recharge it safely using a CTEK Smart Charger.
Don’t wait for that dreaded click… get ahead of it and stay powered up this winter.
Book a quick battery health check today — it could save you from an unexpected no-start.
Small Drips, Big Problems
Cold weather can do sneaky things to your Porsche — like shrinking rubber seals and gaskets just enough to let vital fluids escape. Oil, coolant, and even windscreen washer fluid can start to leak without obvious signs at first.
If you’re noticing a new smell, a faint puddle, or even a sudden top-up warning, don’t ignore it. What seems small can lead to bigger issues down the line — especially if it’s affecting engine temperature or lubrication.

RODENTS IN YOUR PORSCHE?
Rodents and Porsches are a nightmare pairing. Rodents love warm engine bays — and they can cause serious damage to wiring, hoses, and insulation. The first signs? Small droppings, chewed plastic, or unusual smells under the bonnet.
To reduce the risk:
✔️ Park in clean, well-lit areas
✔️ Keep pet food and clutter out of the garage
✔️ Check your engine bay regularly
✔️ Avoid crumbs and spills inside the car
Rodents might be small, but the damage they cause isn’t.
