RS Autosport April 2026 Newsletter

Drive with Confidence This April!

As we move further into the year, it’s the perfect time to give your Porsche the attention it deserves. Whether it’s staying on top of maintenance, understanding how to better care for your vehicle, or simply appreciating the legacy behind the badge, every detail matters.

In this month’s newsletter, we’re sharing a few insights to help you protect your investment, along with a look at one of Porsche’s most iconic stories.

Let’s dive in!

Why Driving Your Porsche Regularly Matters

It might sound surprising, but one of the best things you can do for your Porsche… is simply to drive it.

High-performance vehicles like Porsche are engineered to be driven and not left standing for long periods. When a car sits too long, components like the battery, tyres, brakes, and even seals can start to deteriorate faster than expected.

Regular driving helps keep everything in motion:

  • The battery stays charged.
  • Fluids circulate properly.
  • Brakes remain clean and responsive.
  • Engine components stay well-lubricated.

Even a short drive once or twice a week can make a big difference in maintaining your Porsche’s performance and longevity.

So, if your Porsche has been parked for a while, consider this your sign to take it out for a proper drive.

Vehicle Valuations

Once you’ve purchased your Porsche, ensuring it’s properly valued is just as important as enjoying the drive.

We assist with professional vehicle valuations for insurance purposes, giving you peace of mind that your vehicle is accurately covered. With the value of performance vehicles often differing from standard market estimates, a proper valuation helps protect your investment in the long run.

Our team understands the nuances of Porsche models, from condition and mileage to specifications and extras, ensuring your valuation reflects the true value of your vehicle.

Because when it comes to your Porsche, it’s not just a car; it’s an investment worth protecting.

Porsche Story of the Month

The Birth of the 911!

If there’s one model that defines Porsche, it’s the 911, but it almost wasn’t called that.

Originally introduced in 1963 as the Porsche 901, the name had to be changed due to a trademark dispute with Peugeot, who had rights to three-digit model names with a zero in the middle. And just like that, the now iconic 911 was born.

What’s even more impressive is how little the core concept has changed. The rear-engine layout, the unmistakable silhouette, and the driver-focused experience have remained true for over 60 years, evolving with technology but never losing its identity.

Today, whether it’s a classic air-cooled model or a modern Turbo S, every 911 still carries that same DNA.

A simple name change… that became one of the most legendary badges in automotive history.

Important Reminder

With a couple of public holidays coming up, we’ll be closed on 27 April (Freedom Day) and 1 May (Workers’ Day).

If your Porsche is due for a service, we recommend booking in early to avoid any delays and ensure you’re back on the road without interruption.
