Prepping Your Porsche for the Autumn Shift

As the seasons begin to change and the mornings grow cooler, it’s a good time to give your Porsche that extra attention it needs. Autumn in South Africa often brings fluctuating temperatures, which can affect tyre pressure, battery performance, and overall engine efficiency.

With the sun rising a little later, darker mornings also mean your vehicle’s lights play a bigger role in visibility and safety. Ensuring your headlights, brake lights, and indicators function properly helps you see clearly and be seen by others on the road.

Cooler air can slightly reduce tyre pressure, while colder starts can place extra strain on your battery. Keeping an eye on these small but important elements will help ensure your Porsche continues to perform exactly as it should.

A seasonal check-up can make all the difference in maintaining the precision and reliability Porsche is known for – because every drive should feel just as good as the last. 🚗

Pre-Purchase Inspection

Thinking about buying a Porsche? Before making that exciting decision, a professional inspection can give you the clarity and confidence you need.

At RS Autosport, our Pre-Purchase Inspection provides a thorough and honest evaluation of the vehicle’s condition. Once the vehicle is brought to our workshop, our technicians conduct a detailed assessment, including diagnostics and an exterior inspection on the hoist to check for visible leaks or concerns that may not be obvious at first glance.

You’ll receive a comprehensive report outlining the car’s condition, along with expert guidance to help you make an informed decision. We also pay close attention to key safety components, giving you peace of mind before committing to the purchase.

Our process is transparent, professional, and focused on helping you understand exactly what you’re buying.

Porsche Story of the Month

The First Porsche Ever Built

Every legend has a beginning, and for Porsche, that story starts in 1948 with the creation of the Porsche 356.

Ferry Porsche, the son of company founder Ferdinand Porsche, believed that the perfect sports car had not yet been built – so he decided to create it himself. Working with a small team in a modest garage in Gmünd, Austria, they developed what would become the very first Porsche.

The original 356 “No.1” Roadster produced just 40 horsepower, but its lightweight design, balance, and driving feel quickly impressed enthusiasts. It was simple, agile, and focused purely on the joy of driving.

What began as a small project in a garage would soon grow into one of the most respected sports car brands in the world – proving that Porsche’s passion for engineering excellence has been there from the very start.
