RS Autosport October Newsletter

As the days grow longer and the roads more tempting, there’s no better time to give your Porsche some well-deserved attention. From minor servicing to brake checks and headlight care, October is all about fine-tuning performance before the year-end rush begins.

🌞 A little preparation now means fewer worries later – and more time to enjoy every drive leading up to the holidays. At RS Autosport, we’re here to keep your Porsche running at its peak so you can finish the year strong, confident, and road ready.

Brake Health 101 – Stop with Confidence

Your Porsche’s braking system is built for precision – every pedal press delivers control, balance, and confidence. But even the best brakes need regular care to stay in top shape.

Listen up: Squeaks, vibration, or a longer stopping distance are signs your brake pads or discs may need attention.
Don’t forget the fluid: Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which can reduce braking performance and even lead to internal corrosion. That’s why Porsche recommends a brake fluid change every two years – it’s a small step that makes a big difference in stopping power and safety.

At RS Autosport, we only use approved parts and fluids to keep your Porsche stopping as impressively as it accelerates 💧

Minor Service – Small Checks, Major Peace of Mind

Even the best-performing Porsche needs a little TLC now and then. A minor service is all about taking care of the essentials to keep your car running smoothly and reliably.

🛢️ Fresh oil and filter change: Think of it as a spa day for your engine – keeping everything clean, cool, and perfectly balanced.
💧 Fluid top-ups: Our technicians check coolant, brake fluid, and power steering fluid to ensure they’re at just the right levels.
🚗 Safety checks: Brakes, tyres, and battery all get a thorough once-over, along with your lights and wipers, to make sure every drive is as safe as it is smooth.

A minor service is recommended every 10,000 to 15,000 km (or roughly once a year), depending on your Porsche model and driving style. It’s one of the smartest ways to prevent costly repairs and keep your car performing at its best.

Our Porsche Care Tip of the Month

KEEP YOUR LIGHTS BRIGHT!

Your Porsche’s lights do more than illuminate the road; they play a key role in safety and visibility, day and night. Over time, sunlight, weather, and heat can cause the plastic on your headlights to fade or yellow, reducing clarity and effectiveness.

The fix? A simple headlight polish can restore that crystal-clear finish and protect the lenses from further UV damage.

But don’t stop at the headlights – your running lights and fog lights also deserve attention. Regular checks and cleaning help ensure all three sets of lights stay in top condition, keeping you visible and safe in any driving conditions.

A little maintenance goes a long way toward keeping your Porsche looking sharp and lighting the way ahead.

Important Reminder

Don’t leave it too late for December!

The festive season may still feel far off, but our workshop calendar fills up quickly in the lead-up to December. If your Porsche is due for a service, repair, or pre-holiday inspection, now’s the time to book.

Avoid the last-minute rush (and stress!) by scheduling your visit early. That way, your Porsche will be road-ready long before the year-end break – leaving you free to enjoy the drive.
